Light foxing to frontispiece and back of some other plates; tears to top of some pages neatly repaired not affecting text or images. New endpapers, corners repaired, new neat unlettered blue cloth spine, VG in original blue cloth boards, gilt pictorial front cover. Perret 1884, Neate G13 ' George was one of the leading climbers of his day. Some of his climbs are described in the book which is also prized for its illustrations. Ernest Edwards was considered to be the best of the early Alpine photographers'. Very Good.
